Planning has moved on apace and this flyer HERE gives the current details.
We are now able to invite individual applications. To be eligible to participate, nominees must be aged 16 or over, be a permanent resident in Scotland and have lived in Scotland for more than five years.
We envisage that the Convention on Scotland’s Future will have three categories of attendees: individuals with as broad a geographical spread as we can attract; civil organisations, many of which will have specific interest in our themes, then civic organisations as observers.
This will be a Convention for lay people in that currently elected politicians will not be taking part. If the Convention opts to change membership in future, then that must be its own decision.
Civil organisations are now being approached and civic observers will follow.
At present, this is the call for individual applications. The application form can be downloaded as a Word document here. As noted in the application form, please scan it and send it to convention@independenceforum.scot as soon as possible.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come basis regionally. A small subsidy may be available to assist with travel costs for those coming from island locations. Further information can be made available by contacting the Event Project Team at convention@independenceforum.scot
